Much
of Kosovo's broadcast infrastructure was damaged during the NATO campaign against
Serbia in 1999. The
Professional Media Program is working to rebuild a terrestrial transmission system in
coordination with the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), the OSCE, and a donation from the
Government of Japan. Three television stations and four radio stations will use the
system. |
