Attention - Important notice!

Transmitter amplifiers are intended exclusively for use by licensed radio amateurs on the designated amateur radio frequencies.

Depending on the installation, amplifier type, power, etc., an additional harmonic filter may be required to prevent TVI interference for proper operation according to ETS 300684.
These filters are also available here from MWF-Service.

Before commissioning, please be sure to check the correct SWR ratio of the antenna system you are using using a suitable SWR meter or a qualified technician, and follow the instructions in the supplied documentation to avoid damage to the amplifier, especially the transmitter output stage!
The antenna cable must not be damaged, and the antenna connectors must be correctly installed (check for continuity and short circuits).
Furthermore, it is important to avoid any additional antenna tuner changing the antenna's SWR when transmitting at high power, as this can temporarily result in poor SWR values, which can also damage the transmitter's power amplifier.
This means that the antenna's SWR setting may only be adjusted at low transmission power (transmitter amplifier switched off/in bypass mode).

The amplifier must not be driven with excessive power, even for a short time.
You should not transmit continuously for too long to prevent the amplifier from overheating (max. 1 minute, then allow to cool down).
The amplifier's supply voltage must not be exceeded.
Compliance with or non-compliance with these instructions is your responsibility, particularly with regard to liability for defects. See also our Terms and Conditions.

The CB-band is usually allocated to the segment of 26.965-27.405 (most countries where CB is allowed) divided into 40 channels.

There are different restrictions as to which mode and power output to use. In most european countries, AM, FM and SSB were used until recently.

The so called "freeband" is just about everything between 27.410 and 28.000, plus a 40 channel segment below 26.965. In these segments, many unlicensed individuals do their DX-ing, mainly on SSB.

Of course the legal use of these segments is probably extremely low, and therefore all this "freebanding", or maybe it is the other way around? There are quite a number of CB radios manufactured with the possibility of extended frequency coverage.
